Philosophy of Care
Agency-Directed Care
At Legacy Home Care, we offer you our clinical expertise in providing care, while allowing you the opportunity to participate in how care is provided. Our staff is committed to insuring your loved one’s safety and well-being.
Legacy Home Care is licensed through the Department of Health. Legacy Home Care employs only the best caregivers, thanks to our rigorous screening process. Our trained intake professionals will work with you to identify your specific needs, and what schedule works best for you. A professional care coordinator will be responsible for all your scheduling, staffing, and support needs. A Registered Nurse oversees the entire process, identifying needs, and looking out for the best interests of your loved one.
Through our agency directed model of care, the following advantages are passed on to you, the consumer:
- Plan of Care created by an RN
- All CNAs supervised by an RN
- All caregivers are employees receiving continuous training
- Long Term Care Insurance companies are billed as a courtesy
Plan of Care created by an RN
A Registered Nurse will visit with your loved one, to assess client care needs, the living environment, and create a plan of care that will provide the highest quality of life and highest degree of independence possible.
All CNAs supervised by an RN
As part of our Quality Assurance program, all clients and caregivers receive regular supervisory visits, to insure your loved one’s safety and well-being. As part of our Client/Caregiver matching process, all caregivers must be able to demonstrate the necessary skills that are unique to the needs of the client they are serving.
All caregivers are employees receiving continuous training
Before they are hired, caregivers applying to Legacy Home Care must pass through a very intensive screening process, and must be able to demonstrate basic skills necessary when caring for someone in a home environment. In addition, they must further their training through continuing education programs.
Long Term Care Insurance companies are billed as a courtesy
Legacy Home Care is authorized to bill most Long Term Care Insurance companies directly, relieving you of the burden of the reimbursement process.
